How should I work on my lawn?
I have a lawn that partially needs some topsoil and grass seed. I want to spread pelletized lime to kill moss. I have grub-ex because I have a mole problem. I have Scott's Turfbuilder plus2 with weed control. I also have grass seed for when I put down soil. How and when should I spread this stuff out?

- Hey, try calling Johns Reliable Landscaping. He's pretty good at that. He's a little lazy though.
- No lawn work is complete without beer!!
- Use moth balls to get rid of the moles, they hate the smell. You need to make a decision about whether your going to seed the lawn before you feed it or vis-versa. If you live in the UK , I would seed it now, because if it gets to dry the seed won't take, and needs regular watering to assist germination. If you do seed it , then don't feed it for a few months to give the new grass, a chance to establish otherwise, it will burn the new grass. You could feed it ,and sew the seed in the September October time.:)
- I'm not sure that lime will kill your moss.. you may need an actual moss killer.. this can be had at a garden center.. Start with the moss killer and then spread your soil. Seed and lime next. you can put your grub-ex out at this time, too. Wait a few weeks after your grass germinates to put down the weed killer.. it may be wise to wait even longer in that new grass could be damaged by the weed control. Thinkin terms of getting some starter fertilizer for the new grass before you use weed control.
