Should it be illeagal for a man to use a lawn mower while he is intoxicated?

If not should we write to our congress and ask them to make it illeagal, so that when us men come home from work and we start drinking the ole lady can not ask us to mow the lawn??

  1. push or riding? Hell. I had kids for lawn care jobs. Let them do it.
  2. hehehehe
  3. Your name fits.... learn to spell, and get a clue.
  4. Hire a mexican to do it they work cheap
  5. only if he chops someone up with it
  6. only if it is the same law worldwide.
  7. well...i guess that would be public intoxication..which is already illegal.
  8. No, it should be required that a lawnmower operator must be intoxicated.
  9. Only if you decide to drive the mower to the and from the local bar!
  10. Well, if you're just going to drink to get out of mowing the lawn (aka being lazy)... no. But I do think it can be dangerous.
  11. um no it shdnt be illegal if u run sum1 over u face the consequences and they sue...its cuz of ur stupidity...and i guess theirs
  12. Man, dontcha just LOVE the process of natural selection?
  13. As long as it's not being driven in the middle of a public street or plowing into someone else's property, there's no legal problem. But it's still not a good idea to do. The guy can do damage to his own property, and possibly cut off his fingers or other valuable appendages.
  14. lmao its legal....and it should be as long as its on your property.....shit i dont care if you go and drive a car in the field or some dirt road (private road)drunk as hell....as long as you own the land then your only putting yourself at risk.....and anyone you invite to join you i guess but that's their problem
  15. nice try LOL actually my ex cut off a few toes while drunk and mowing the lawn the idiot ran over his own foot I wonder if toe meat makes a good fertilizer
  16. .It is illegal
  17. If it is on a riding lawn mower it is illegal as it is a motorized vehicle and can be cited for DUI even on your own front lawn, but not highly likely unless you pose a danger to yourself or others or try to place Deathrace 2000 and try to mow down your friends, family members and pets gunning the motor and yelling "you are worth 20 points"!
  18. I Thought you American guys were tough you should see my lawn its a mess . The world over a hug and and kiss should sort it out .Dont live in the USA but i would guess congress would have enough to worry about with the invasion of the body snatchers.
  19. Yes
  20. Well, driving a rider mower on a public street while drunk could certainly get you a DUI because it is considered a motor vehicle. After all, a rider mower doesn't go that fast but if you run over a pedestrian you're liable to make chop suey out of him (or yourself, if it overturns). You generally can't be charged with DUI if you're operating a motor vehicle on private property drunk, though a few states have recently changed their DUI laws to include private property as well as public roads (too many drunk drivers are getting away with claiming immunity just because they were stopped in a gas station or some other private parking lot). I don't know if it should be illegal to mow your own lawn drunk, but it's incredibly dangerous. I've known people who have had horrible accidents with getting fingers or toes chopped off by those things even though perfectly sober, just because they didn't watch what they were doing. A lawn mower (whether a rider or a push-mower) is a heavy power tool and should be respected as such.
