Where is the best lakeside community in the US to live in?

I'm panning to live in the United States and I'd really love to live in a lakeside community. I want a peaceful place with nearby entertainment and nightlife near downtown and country styled lawn with lots of trees beside the lake. I also want the lakeside water be clean. As per weather, cold in the morning, warm in the evening, and does not snow. Where is the best for you?

1. i would say if you are looking for something pretty and relaxful, lake tahoe!! nevada/cali border! i have family there.. absolutely beautiful!
2. Austin is my answer. You have Lake Austin, Canyon Lake or Lake Travis.......Michael Dell has a home on Lake Austin - I think he calls it a corporate retreat...It has a football field...anyway - the lakes there are beautiful and you have the fantastic and ecentric lifestyle of the austin nights...For sure - no snow.
3. alke austin also gets my vote, lake travis second...I wish I could afford to live on either of them, but even off the lake Austin is considered a lake community as both lakes are virtually right there.Austin is a great city.
