What is the best way to handle the illegals coming into this country? Us legals want to know.?

Most of us Americans came here legally generations ago. Some more recent than others. If Ellis Island found an immigrant as an undesirable, then he was sent home. have we forgotten that just letting "anyone" into this country, and our ignorance of the facts, caused 9/11. We as Americans have gotten fat and lazy, and our children, who when I was their age worked in the fields, sold cantaloupes, and mowed lawns to make money, Have no sense of pride in work. My feeling is that if you do not want to be here and Legal, GO HOME!. Get our fat and lazy kids trained to do the jobs that we did as youngsters. PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH should be illegal by constitutional ammendment. There is not a recording in mexican busineses, that says press 1 for espanol. Afterall, what happens if your visa expires and you are caught in Mexico, or God forbid there should be a single bullet left in your glove compartment, while visiting south of the border? BYE BYE I will never forget, will you?

  1. Secure our US Borders first,,,,,,,
  2. As the Shawnee leader Tecumseh told the Osages people in a speech calling for unity and resistance against the colonists around 1811-12: “When the white men first set foot on our shores, they were hungry; they had no places on which to spread their blankets or to kindle their fires. They were feeble; they could do nothing for themselves. Our fathers commiserated their distress, and shared freely with them whatever the Great Spirit had given to his red children... “Brothers, the white people are like poisonous serpents: when chilled, they are feeble and harmless; but invigorate them with warmth, and they will sting their benefactors to death.”
  3. They should post signs at the borders " Trespassers will be found dead in the morning." It's all government our opinions as United States citizens don't mean a fucking thing.
  4. Open hunting seasons on illegals? I don't think the problem will ever be under control. Its way to easy for illegals to come over and mooch off our government. Wouldn't it be great to go some where and live for free? Free housing, free food, free money? Hell sign me up! Oh I forget, I work, and work hard for what little I have, the government don't help the likes of the working class fools. Maybe we should all load up, move to Mexico, and start our own country..... again. But of course as soon as our country began doing well, they would be beating the doors down to get back in, because in the meantime, they would have finished destroying the rest of this country. But then again what do I know.
  5. the problem with the Illegas is they want what we have and they son't feel they should be citizens I think we should have them all help us build the fence that borders Mexico and when it is done sent them over to see how it looks on the south side of the fence and than close the gate except we need to build a huge concrete fence that cannot be scaled or climbed easily. I have lived here all my life and had chores and respnsibilities and agree that we should make our kids responsible so that they are willing to work and do the jobs that "Americans don't want"
  6. Stop US companies from giving them the jobs for substandard wages and (even the very limited) government benifits they get now? Help Mexico strenthen it's economy so it doesn't benifit US corporations at the expense of Mexican citizens?
  7. Well lets give amnesty too 6 million of the 12 million.Make them pay taxes and so on.Put more troops on the border and refuse work to the illegal ones after that.
  8. The best way to stop the illegal immigrant problem is to strengthen and enforce the laws making it illegal to hire illegals! If you start fining and jailing any person, persons or corporations that hire illegals, they will stop hiring them. And I don't mean a slap on the wrist and don't do it again. Make the penalties harsh enough to make people think twice about hiring illegals. If they have no jobs they will not risk their lives to come here.
  9. Hi, Sasori San, my name is Hank. I believe the best way to handle illegal immigrants coming into this country would be to send an itemized, physically real, bill to their home country. We must take away the incentives for the Church and corporations to abuse refugees, and get our government to realize the harm they are doing by their ineptness at handling the problem. Maybe if some of these countries that are abusing their citizens, economically, by making them work for slave wages, were made to pay the expenses of them fleeing their home country, they might think twice about the abuse of their nationals. I'm going to use Mexico as an example, only because it is the closest to the U.S., and the easiest to demonstrate for the position I am positing. I'm pretty sure I'm in for a lambasting for this, but, Sasori San, someone has to say it. How would Mexico react if the U.S. sued to recover what it costs to care for their economic refugees? Would they change their economic policies to be more people friendly, or would they continue to ignore the plight of their citizens? I believe if we (United States) were to start suing and billing there would be more attention paid to the matter of people not being able to make decent wages in the country they are fleeing from. I believe there are a couple of sheriffs, here in America, who have already formulated this plan, and have sent actual bills to the Mexican government. I don't know the status of what happened as a result of those actions, though. Maybe you could google it and find out. We have to get the leaders in our government to understand how economically devastating this is to all of us concerned, especially those who are having to flee the economic abuse. That brings me to the other part of your question--abuse of the economic refugees by corporations and other employers here in America. Are you certain you want to hear the truth? Because, if you aren't I'm, to quote a cliche, spinning my wheels, and when you spin your wheels, the only thing you do is add more pollutants to our atmosphere while getting nowhere. As long as there are economic incentives for illegal immigrants to make that arduous, dangerous, sometimes life-taking, journey they will come. I can't blame them either. If my family and I were stuck where the minimum wage is less than six dollars a day, I would risk all I have to get here, the same as millions of illegal immigrants have already done. We have to rein in the people north of the border who are abusing the refugees the same as we have to get the Mexican government to change what they're doing. If we don't, we're stuck in the same mudhole I mentioned earlier. As long as we have a government that winks and turns their head at the employment of these abused refugees, we won't get anything done. Our government needs to start enforcing the laws that are already on the books, instead of acting as if nothing is happening at all. The result of what's happening is frightening if you care to study it for a bit. The lowering for the standard of living here in the U.S. is a result of abusing illegal immigrants and does nothing but suppress wages for people already living here. Do you know that illegal immigrants can't legally vote here, but they are counted in the census? This creates a false impression of how the economy really is--a hallmark of the present Administration. It also affects the size of voting districts and how they are alloted too. That's why the politician's want their euphemized amnesty that they're calling earned citizenship. The other large entity here in the U.S. that will benefit from this is the Catholic Church. The position of the Church not only diverts our attention from the fact some in the Church can't keep their zippers up, it swells the membership of their congregations. I believe with all the lawsuits, the Church is experiencing, it's leaving their coffers lacking for funds--and, this, an influx of church members is a quick and easy fix for them. There are many, many other reasons for what's happening, but I believe this will keep you thinking about it for a long time to come. Illegal immigration is no small matter, and there's no quick fix for it. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the earned citizenship program some people are trying to get passed by Congress. Does indentured servitude sound familiar to you? That's what earned citizenship is. We (U.S.) passed laws against that a long time ago. To euphemize words and phrases, as this Administration is doing, is them only trying to make more palatable something we all abhor. They, this Administration, have managed to make the words: cemetary, booby-trap and automatic ambush sound a lot more friendlier than they really are. Does "where valor sleeps," "improvised explosive device" (i.e.d.s) and hit by a roadside bomb sound familiar? Sure they do. This Administration cut their "wordsmiths" loose on the argot of war--so people wouldn't perceive the real trajedy of what the words mean. Now to bring it all together. Until we get the governments of the countries abusing their citizens to change, get our government to recognize the harm illegal immigration is causing, get the Church active for the right reasons and start arresting corporations for taking advantage of lax law enforcement of hiring practices, we are spinning our wheels. Is America becoming cliche? The main thing for us to remember about all of this is: This is real human beings we are discussing, and that it's not their fault if they want to make things better in their life. It's easy to forget that and to place the blame in the wrong places. But, Sasori San, above all this discussing and rhetoric, we must have compassion, and not sink to the levels of the real perpetrators involved in this crime. That's what makes us uniquely American.
