Can anyone help me obtain a blade of grass from the lawns of The White House in the US?
I am doing a project and this is project No 1. Can anyone help with links in media / newspapers etc? I am in London, UK. This is Project no 1 that I need to complete. I would appreciate any help from media or people that can do it for me or make it happen.

- Two options. pick a nice green blade of grass from any lawn, woodland in whichever town city country you are in. Or. do what Bush can to. fly a little light aircraft into u.s.a. zoom down quick in your two seater, hop out snatch some grass, and get out quick before they say you are a terrorist and give you another identity and kill you.
- where are you now?
- Sounds like a hard task for such a small thing. Either dare to do the task by taking a plane to Washington D.C. ... or change your topic. Good luck!
- Your question is relatively simple to answer. All grass needs to be cut and in the Northern Hemisphere a southerly breeze is most likely during mowing season. Simply stand outside the fence and wait for the mower to go past, (it's quite a frequent event). Within a day or so of waiting you'll have a blade to make use of, maybe mount it in a lucite block for posterity. Good Luck.
- Whatever course you are on, look for the same course or faculty at a University in Washington DC. I suggest Georgetown or George Washington. E-mail a tutor on that course and explain that this is a part of your course to show initiative. Ask if they themselves or a student will help you.
- . . . are you sure George Dubbya hasn't already smoked it all? . . .
- Obviously you cannot pick a blade of grass from your own lawn because their grass is much firmer, courser and it hurts your feet when you stand on it (it feels like spikes poking your feet)! I recommend a flight to the USA anywhere and get it or get someone from abroad to send you some grass..(eg..I have family over there so if I had your task, I would ask them to send me some.) Do you have any contacts over there?
- I think the blade you require is made by a French chappie by the name of Guillotine!
- I dont think the White House have that for sale!, but you can call 411 or your local phone directory and ask for the phone number of the White House in Washington DC and call and ask that to the operator.
- Get in touch with the White House head gardener. Ask him to send you some cuttings next time he mows the lawn.
