How do you rate sodding your lawn versus Hydroseeding?

1. all depends who's doing the work and the price sod instant grass but a lot of install work hydro easier to put down but need machine wait for the grass to grow bottom line next year at this time you will have a green lawn gl
2. Hydroseeding can be just as expensive (if not moreso) than sodding. The only reason I would hydroseed is if I had a steep slope that required a no-mow grass like Fescue or had an incredibly large area (acres) to seed. With sod, you roll it down and enjoy it with in a couple of weeks. Sod also effectively "buries" all prospective weed-seed from germinating whcih HS would not. So add more $$$ to hydroseeding for 1-2 weed applications. Life is to short- sod it!
