Home Grown Biofuel?

Is there a way to turn Kentucky Bluegrass (lawn) into biofuel? Is it as simple as a home ethanol brewery or would it need to be undertaken at the city level with the option of everyone else providing their lawn waste to the communal vat?

  1. Most any cellulose can be turned into ethanol the question is what is the potential or percentage of fuel can you get from the source. I would suspect it would take more energy to produce ethanol from grass than it would be worth. Switch grass on the other hand can produce a high percentage of ethanol by volume however most bio fuel plants are made to process corn.
