What is the best type of grass to grow on lawns in eastern gulf side florida?

Have a patchy lawn and have had a difficult time finding the right grass to grow.

3. Are you on the gulf, very close to the water? If so, try a paspalum (seashore paspalum). This type of grass is tolerant of salt, typical of the environment near the ocean. St. Augustine is another great choice. Probably the most popular grass in Florida. You can have instant lawn with sod! Here's a link to some publications that I recommend for Florida Lawns.
