  1. As much as you can get, be greedy !
  2. pay attention to how long it takes you..+ gas....you should get at least 15 bucks an hour....don't tell them that..just use it as a basis on your pricing
  3. There are variations according to the difficulty of the job. Each yard may have a different price (put into $5 increments of increase or decrease) according to amount of trimming, if need to remove grass clippings, lot of obstacles to mow around, etc... You may consider discounts to seniors or those that gave you a referral (and did mow for that referral) or for 1st time customer, etc... Keep record of name, address & price so when you have a repeat customer, you charge same rate.
  4. DIfferent lawns of the same size are not the same to mow. Some are flat and easy while others are steep and dangerous. Others may have trees and flower beds to trim around. Base your bids on an hourly rate. Figure how long you expect the job to take and how much you want to make per hour. before you start, get contractor's liability insurance. If your mower throws a rock and damages anything you want to be covered. The insurance will not be very expensive.
  5. basic mow 25 $ trim 8 $ move obstacle's 5 $ Grass bagging 10 $ grass removal 10 $ trimming from ground 10 $ weed border control 15$ from this you can vary your price if you have the tool you can charge better but if you require there tools you should shave off a little and add in the fuel with the cost depending on your mower
