How much should i charge for mowing other peoples lawns?

this summer i am saving up for an electric guitar ($300.00) and i want to make money by money peoples lawns on my street. i am going to send out fliers with info. but first how much should i charge for mowing and trimming/edging: small lawn: medium lawn: large lawn: i already have 75.00 dollars, and im having a garage sale soon. which i expect to make about 50-120 dollars. therefore i would be pretty close to getting the awesome electric guitar i want

  1. You need to call some other lawn services in your area and see what they're charging. Then charge less to steal their business. :) Good luck.
  2. Go by time. I am from Australia so I don't know what may differ in values, but I would go $10-$15 per half hour. You may want to look into some other options too because that is alot of mowing ahead of you for the guitar.
  3. Small $15 Medium $20-25 Large $30 i know you probably just wanna charge them $50-100 but they have to think it is worth it
  4. $10, $15, $20...I think weekly as well. But don't advertise price on the fliers. Offer to 'customize' pricing' to each client based on their size and frequency. But do not bill...go cash only. Mostly honest people will use your service but there are people...good luck
  5. The gowing rate where I live is 25$ on up
  6. well for a small yard I've been charged about $10 for and a medieum yard, $20-$30 but for a large yard I'd guess about $30 - $50. it's gonna take a lot of yards anyways. You have to take in account the cost of gas and the labor and how much it would take to go from one place to the next. if you are going to just mow then the price can't be too high or no one will want to pay it, but if you are going to weed eat, mow, and clean up the cut grass then that would be worth it.
