teen wanting to mow lawns on the side for cash?

im a college student and i want to mow lawns on the side for cash. should i get a lawnmower that mulches the grass so I don't need to empty a bag full of grass or should I get the one with the rear bag? which is better/ looks more professional?

1. Get one that is self propelled. After mowing all day you do not want to be pushing a mower. It depends on your yards as to whether you can mulch or bag. It the customer doesn't want his grass mowed each week, then you need to bag it because it will be too high to mulch. There are several makes of mowers that give you a choice so you can either bag or mulch with the same mower. Get one with enough horsepower to do the job, at least 4 or 5
2. I suggest the one with the bag you can empty, unless you want to rake/sweep when you're done. If you're being paid for how fast/well you're doing it, get the one with the bag. Goes faster. If you're getting paid by the hour, get one without, takes longer. *grin* Hope that helps! -S.
