The Grass Doctor

What kind of tree could this be?

Ok so i dont have a picture but i wil attempt to describe it to you I live in South Miami near a Canal. The Tree has a dark brown bark. The leaves are kind of like needles but i think they look similar to buffalo grass and the tree kinda looks like a triangle ( similar to evergreen shape ) besides the needle leave things. Sorry i couldn't provide a picture or better description , but i hope you can help.
