What are some dog-friendly lawn and garden care products?
I am specifically looking for a grass-growing aid and a pesticide. Are there any pet-friendly products out there? I am new to gardening so I have no clue where to start looking!

- your yahoo picture is so cute! (^.^)
- Me to my pup dug holes and eats the dirt
- This site has a lot of organic and animal friendly options that you might find interesting.
- No pesticide or herbicide is dog friendly (in spite of what the advertising might say) What apparently does work well on grass is worm castings. http://www.wormcomposting.ca/ I water mine - and thatch out the major weeds. Personally, I would rather have a dandelion than cancer - yes, pesticides hurt people too.
- We try to do things organically for our family and our pets. We use corn meal gluten and dried molasses for the grass, along with small textured composts. None of those have ever caused any problems for our dog. The only real "pesticide" we use is a mound drench to fight fire ants. It's a mixture of compost tea, molasses and orange oil. The orange oil by itself wouldn't be good for a dog, but we've never had a problem with our blue heerler licking the mounds after we have drenched them
