WHY is it that most landscape companies hire Mexicans in the US to cut lawns, etc, when?

...there are millions upon millions of people on welfare who are not Mexicans who are capable of doing the same job rather than being on welfare?

1. Seems like a good part time job for college students needing extra money for books and such. Why the illegals keep getting the jobs is beyond me.
2. How about those on welfare applying for the job? That would be a good start.

5. We have a problem with our fading generations. They come here because Americans mostly over 40 hire them. We are trained to attack the user but not the source.

9. bcause the millions will not give up their welfare for a job. when on welfare they get very low rent , very low or free utilities, free food, free money and they do not have to get out of bed to go to work, find a babysitter, or transportation to work. so why should they give up the good life for the life of working for all this.

Because they are here and they can...and they will continue to do so unless they are no longer here, and get fined for actually doing so to the point of being put out of business for repeat offenses. Of course, I'm only talking about hiring illegal immigrants...hiring Mexicans who are here legally is a perfectly sound idea best determined by the employer.

12. Because we hand out so much in assistance that it makes no sense for someone to take such a job. At some point we decide that rather than just feeding someone who needs it, we will give them a lifestyle equivalent to someone who actually earns a living.
13. It seems a reasonable question. When I was a kid, my siblings and I got to do the mowing, raking and weed-eating. My son tells me he should get paid. I take away the Wii. No illegals here doing the yard work.
14. It's one industry where proof of social security is not usually asked for. Fixed businesses with staff on hand during working hours are at risk for INS raids. Further many landscaping mexicans are actually free lance and working within a small group cutting grass for themselves. Some have been in the US for a while, esp the ones with their own vehicles. Typically one more long term illegal may hire let a few of his relatives who are newer here work with him and split the money.
15. Nearly all the people I know hiring illegals to do work are Conservativse.
16. They especially hire illegal Mexicans because the law is not being enforced against them or the employers who hire them.
17. Many people falsely claim it is because of Cheap labor. That's an impossible argument because of minimum wage. Second off lots of those guys (Mexicans) get paid more than minimum wage. I have been in the landscape business since I was 16 and the reason why there Mexicans and no White kids is simply because the white kids don't last, they come then they dont like the work so they quit. Mexicans will literally do anything you tell them to so long as you pay them on time. When I first started out, all the Mexicans who were working longer than I had, were getting paid more than me, they had more experience and higher skills. The bottom line is it is the average American male who has enjoyed a high standard of living thanks to capitalism now they don't want to get their hands dirty
18. Freedom of choice to hire whom one wants to is a good place to start. As long as the Mexican or Latin is E-verified. I really have no issue with them working. They hold up better in the sun. They take far less breaks. and they know how to pace themselves in that type of outdoor environment.
