How much nitrogen-based fertilizer would you add to 50ml of soil to obtain maximum growth?

P.s this is for a science experiment to prove that plants grow better with fertilizer.

1. If it's an experiment, then you should try several different amounts, with everything else the same. Same plant, soil, sun, water. only the fertilizer amounts are different. Then you can see for yourself what amounts are not enough, what amounts are good, and when it becomes too much, and is detrimental. No gardener actually works with "50ml" of soil, so we can't tell you. Besides, different fertilizers are measured differently. For your experiemnt, you'll want to use the same kind of fertilizer, merely in different concentrations.
