- Not sure
- If I was going to go through the trouble of tilling my yard up I'd use Centipede or St. Augestine. Am in the Southeast so our summers are very much like yours.
- wow i would not use a grass grown from seed hot summers have to water seed grown will set fertile seed itself do you want that, st Augustine is good st Augustine palmetto the best is it resistant to S.A.D.? can take the shaded areas better than zoysia weird like grass in rest of lawn might be ZOYSIA ? empire best of them.
- i am not sure. here in the southeast we plant kentucky fescue in the autumn. we blow a light amout of straw over it and when it sprouts we uncover it. it needs water constantly while it is growing but not saturated where the seed would rot. in the winter the roots spread and if there is snow on the ground then it warms up the soil and helps the grass to grow good in spring and summer. i would call my garden shop or local extension service and get me some free advice. people love to give it to you for free.
