I don't know what grass type pokemon I should pick for pokemon fire red?

Can someone please help make any dessisions in what type of grass pokemon to get for my team not bulbasaur.

1. By far THE BEST grass type in that game besides Venusaur is Executtor. All other grass types are pretty awful in comparison.
