Need good lawn fertilizing company for home.?
Hi, I live in Southlake area. I have called companies such as TruGreen and they give me ridiculous estimates like $180 per treatment. I do have an acre lot which I craved and now that I have to take care of as well. Any good company with reasonable rates is what I am looking for. Thanks in advance.

- That's not an unreasonable amount. If you were to do it yourself, I believe a 15,000 square foot bag of scott's "weed and feed" (just as an example), is around $60. You'd need three of those bags to do an acre. There are cheaper brands, around $10-15 for a 5000 square foot bag, but multiply that by the 9 bags you'd need to cover your lawn, and you're talking $90 -$140 just for the chemicals. And that doesn't even add in labor. Why not go without the regular fertilizing. Lawn care chemicals rival large-scale farming in terms of run-off and contamination of ground water. And it will be expensive enough to get someone to mow your lot if you don't do it yourself.
