How can I get rid of goat heads so I can plant grass seed?

I want to plant grass seed in my backyard. Only problem is right now it is nothing but goat heads. How can I get rid of the goat heads so I can plant grass seed?

  1. You will get rid of them when you cut the grass as they will not tolerate constant cutting.
