How long can you store wheatgrass seeds?

I want to grow my own wheat grass enough for three people and a cat so I was wondering if I purchase 25 pounds of wheatgrass if it will last long? This is my first time getting into growing wheatgrass so I'm just learning. But do to health reason for my son and I and my other half I think it is best.

1. Yes, wheat seed will last a very long time, if stored in a fairly cool place and kept dry. In fact, wheat discovered in one of the Egyptian pyramids was still viable, and sprouted! You will save a lot of money purchasing in larger quantities such as 25 or 50 pounds, and may even find other uses for the wheat, such as roasting and eating, cracking the grains for cooked cereal, or even grinding your own flour to make bread!
