How important is it for my cats to have fresh grass ?

They also love the new grass seed shoots. They adore eating it, I can pick a blade of grass & have a nibble whenever outside to do their business. They are are on a 90% raw diet, with a bit of canned as flavouring and dry food as a treat.

1. Grass is like medicine for cats & dogs, thats why they always eat it to help them stay healthy. My two cats have eaten it all their lives and have never been to the vet!
2. As I know, cats are carnivores which means they don't eat vegetables in a nutritional manner. But they eat grass in order to throw up the furs they swallow during cleaning (licking). Since they cannot digest grass, eating grass makes them vomit.
3. Have you tried cat grass? yes its called cat grass...can get it from your local nursery and cats LOVE it. Its great for their digestive system and hairballs. They also love eating it when they are sick...get a pot and keep it next your cats water bowl. Its cheap too! =)
