GROWING CAT GRASS?? (help!)?
so i bought a pack of cat grass and it says: "kaifeng, the content of dishes such as uniform shop in the containers, the overall water to be damp, not soaking, 3-five days sprouting can be intake. best planted temperature of 16-29-32. winter low temperatures to keep planting more than 20 degrees in temperature...." so i read it 5 times and cannot make any sense outta it. after opening the package i discovered that the contents are mostly gold wood scraps looking stuff. the seeds are big and red or small and green. the package doesn't specify what seeds are in there. so the thing is, do i pour this over dirt or do i need dirt at all. dose it mean 3-5 days or 35 days. this is confusing. HELP! :C

- I can't imagine what sort of seeds you have there. I grow cat grass all the time and my seeds are beige colored. I think mine is ryegrass. I order it on ebay because I can't find just the seeds in the store. It's always sold as a pack, including the dish and I don't need the dish. ANYWAY! I grow mine in a reservoir pot. It's a two-part pot with a water reservoir underneath and the actual planting pot on the top. This way I don't have to remember to water it, I fill the planting pot with Miracle Gro potting soil. Make a little well in the center of the pot for the seeds. Water just a bit. Sprinkle in the seeds and brush down the soil that formed the sides of the well on top of the seeds.Don't plant the seeds too deep! Set the pot on a moderately lit windowsill and in about 4 days you will havea crop of cat grass. My cat LOVES it!! :)
