Is cat grass the same thing as wheat grass, and is it safe to feed it to guinea pigs?!?

I wanted to buy wheat grass for my guinea pigs for a treat, so i wanted to know if cat grass was the same thing, and if it was safe to give to guineapigs to eat. I saw it at the pet store and was woundering if it was okay for them to have. If not i can just buy wheat grass seeds. But is wheat grass the same as cat grass, and if so is it safe for guinea pigs to eat? Thanks in advanced :] i basically wanted to know if cat grass was the same thing as wheat grass, so is it????

2. I grow it in 4" flower pots for my guinea pigs and they love it, I set the entire pot in their cage and they mow it right to the dirt, you can set it back out side in the sun and it will grow back 3 times before you have to start with new seed.
