fertilizing my lawn without planting seed?
Am I just wasting my money if I put out Scott's fertilizer to maintain the grass that I already have? I'm not sure if this is just for new seed or not.

- You don't have to seed to fertilize your lawn.
- Its fine, just read the instructions and DONT put too much on the lawn or you will burn it. Water in the fertilizer until the granules are dissolved. Be prepared for heavy mowing in the next few weeks.
- Fertilizer is always good for a lawn(so long as you don't overdo it) New seed do not generally get fertilizer(as they are like young skin) in the sun.....it will burn the tender shoots. As a lawn gets established it needs foods which fertilizer provides.
