What will happen if Excess amount of fertilizers is added to green grass lawns?

1. it depends how much in excess. if it's just a bit too much the excess will be washed away from the lawn by rain - this can pollute any nearby streams etc, but won't harm the grass. if it's a lot in excess you will also get leaching (it washing away) but it can also kill the grass or cause it to go brown.
