What type of fertilizer will feed a bonsai and keep the moss alive ?

I want to plant moss with my sago palm bonsai, but I read that moss doesn't like fertilizer, so now I am confused.

1. use a watered down fish emulsion.... neither one should be getting a strong fertilizer.... use just enough , a few drops, to color a half cup of water.... use that to water the plants, maybe once a month... regular water all other times... and mist the moss....
