what is the best type of fertilizer for tomatoes?
I have beautiful plants, but not a single tomato. The leaves are healthy and there are some flowers, but no fruit.

- I like Espoma's Tomato-Tone. It's a mostly organic, slow release fertilizer, with the extra magnesium and calcium that tomatoes like. Don't use anything too high in nitrogen. And make sure the plant is getting a lot of sunlight. A shade-grown tomato grows leafy, but doesn't produce well.
- In the UK Levingtons Tomorite liquid fertilizer is the best one to use. However, there are cheaper alternatives of this available in most supermarkets that are perfectly okay.
- It might be too early yet. Usually you will get some flowers, then more as the season progresses. The flowers will turn to fruit. Try adding some high phosphate fertilizer to boost flowering.
