What should i charge per square foot for lawn mowing?
i am going to get a measuring wheel and use it to calculate the square feet of the lawns that i mow and then use the square feet of the lawn times the price per square foot to find an accurate price to mow them for.

- Customers are going to think you are crazy when you take out the measuring wheel. Your best bet is to just look at the lawn and tell them what it will cost. If you are going to charge down to the square foot it just seems too strange. Most lawns are the same size in a suburban area, so just make a price that applies to everyone, and then charge more for additional yard work. Obviously corner houses should cost a little more, but figure out how much you would be willing to pay for your lawn to be mowed, and charge that. Or you can set up a monthly charge and then come every other week, or every week. Make the rate slightly lower for per week for the every week monthly rate to give them an incentive to have you work more. For example, $40/ week, $80/month for every other week and $30/week, $120/month for weekly. If they hire you year round, you have almost no grass to mow in the winter and you can just collect the money.
