Can you put fertilizer under a tree which currently has fruit growing on it?
I have a lemon tree (lemon lisbon) but the lemons are very small, dark and don't have much juice in them. Can I out fertilizer under the tree now or shouldn't I? It is in a sunny spot and gets a lot of water. I live in Australia if that helps.

- You can fertilize every 2-3 months. Plants need more fertilizer when they are bearing fruit. Make sure you are not over watering. Too much water causes root rot, and the root damage will actual cause the plants to dry out. I have many lemon trees and only water them once a week in a hot dry climate.
