So we moved into a development where they put down sod and it died with the summer drought and cold winter. Some of our grass is now growing, but there are big bare patches, and one whole strip just dirt. each time we pull weeds, they come back with the rains on a vengance, and we've got bugs and bugs in the dirt, ewww. So...I'm thinking its a good idea to have a pro come settle our yard from weeds and bugs, and then we can do the upkeep ourselves. What is a good company to start this process? Do places (aka trugreen or your recommendations) usually treat the dirt to kill the bugs and the grass weeds, and then replant seed where necessary? Do you know of anyone using organic materials - i have a dog and don't want him dying or throwing up on stuff...
