The Grass Doctor

What type of grass is recommended for areas that get a lot of rain?

I live in an area where my yard floods out when it rains. Sometimes it takes until the next morning for it to be gone. It has no grass and I want to plant some before summer. I read where too much water can drown the seeds but I have no control over that. I live in military housing so I cannot do anything to the ground other than put down grass seed. Is there a certain type of grass that will grown in very moist areas like this? How about the roll grass? Would that be an option?

  3. It really depends on where you life "climate wise" I live Tacoma, WA and the best seed to use there is preannual ryegrass, or tall fescue, it can handle the large amounts of water. Just make sure you rake the seed in 1/4-1/2 in deep to prevent the seed from flooding
