What types of Plant pots /container for a porch/balcony recommended?

want to grow lawn type grass in containers that would grow about (?) 2-3ft tall.cant be too heavy and must be able to collect water so it doesnt drip downstairs Im hoping to fix some way to not buy a lot of costly decorative pots.Or is it cheaper to just buy some ready made plants in the pots? They all seem to be costly and I want about 10 total perhaps just for the greenery of it and air filtering.

1. Anything plastic !! this way is doesn't leave marks on your patio and it won't leak.
