what type of grass seed would you recommend?

I have a small yard and would like some very tough grass. I have a puppy so i dont want anything thin. Are there any types of grass that would do well in a small yard with missing patches that grows well in various climates?

2. Every region of the country has different conditions, so you need to find out which grasses do better where you live. There are certain grasses that can stand more foot traffic than others. The best thing to do is call your local extension agent. They will have someone who specializes in grasses and it won't cost you anything. I can tell you what we grow here but it may not be very good for where you live.
