What jobs can a seventeen year old get?

My family's recently gone into a financial slump and I'm trying to help out. Babysitting and pet walking is not really my thing, loved lawn mowing though, ha. And I can't find any fast food jobs around here. Any ideas will be good. Thanks in advance.

1. Write an article in the news paper and say you're looking for a job. You should tell what you are interested in working with and some stuff you're not interested in. If there is any stores or shops around your place, you could ask there if they need a person who can wash the floor or something like that. It might be a shit job, but even if you don't like the job or not you'll still earn your money.
2. You are old enough to go to an employment center, bring your liscense and social security card with you because its required they will interview you and help you find a job. im 18 i went there when i was 17 and they found me several jobs, oh and be prepared to pass a piss test!!!
3. Why dont you make some flyers to be a Mothers Helper. You can help Moms with cleaning, doing little jobs around the house, you say you dont really like babysitting. But there are other things Moms need help with. Folding laundry, dusting, pulling weeds, organizing, washing windows.
4. i got in my car (well my moms car) and literally drove all over my town picking up applications everywhere.... even if you don't think you would like to work somewhere go in and get an application and network. its a 50/50 chance that you'll come across someone really nice willing to have a chat with you and if it turns out that that place is hiring you definitely want to show that u are friendly and respectful. make sure you wear a nice outfit and shoes when you go to get applications. it really impresses people vs. jeans and a T. i have to say it is very very tiring to get in/ and out a car for hours on end.... but in the end it is so worth it. because you will get a call! (i also split my town in parts and got applications at those places in one day and another section another day) i wish u the best of luck, cause i know i would like this kind of advice when i started a month ago!
