Where can a 14 year old find a job?

We live in Washington state and my son wants to work part time. We have fast food and grocery stores near by. He wants a regular job not just mowing lawns or babysitting.

1. I'd reccommend getting a volunteer placement first, to get it out of the way. Of course it's comepletely up to him if he wants to get a part-time job instead. As you mentioned, places like fast food restaurants and grocery stores and great places for starting out. Although, I'd strongly consider getting a volunteer placement, so that he'd at least have some legitimate experience to put on his resume when applying for a part-time job. Hope this helps.
