- Several of the verbs are very modern, informal creations, taking an English word and turning it into a German word. Be careful where you use them; fine in conversation among young people, but some older people will frown on them, at least in more formal contexts. I'm talking about relaxen, joggen, bowlen and telefonieren. Waesche is also commonly used for underwear, more or less the equivalent of 'lingerie'.
