The Grass Doctor

If I say something bad about a US state, can I get arrested?

Like lets say I am in my house and I am talking to my friends. We go out on our lawns and I say something bad about Texas or say that Texas is a crappy state, can I possibly end up getting arrested? Now assume I live in a state like Massachusetts or California and I say something bad about Texas. Also, if another comes on my property and tells me to shut up, do I have the right to tell that person to mind his own business?

  1. you can't get arrested because you have freedom of speech you can call the cops on that suka for trespassing
  2. No, you can legally say anything derogatory about Texas that you wish to,,,just don't say it within earshot of a Texan.
  3. Noowww I huurrddd about yer Blue staters votin for yar Obaymas and yurrr Democrats, weelll luukkk heerrreee Parnurr, im from Texurs, and we don'tt rurrr that wayyy, YEE Howww CAN I be so freaking stupid. Anyways, nope. Especially if you live in Massachusetts or Cali, I doubt a Texan would have much business there. I remember one time in NY we made fun of Texans and one Texan (5"11 White male) heard me in the other room, guy came in with a fighting attitude but then he saw me and 6 of my friends (all Black except for 1 Asian and 1 Latino) and he just backed off. The guy told me that he was offended but I didn't stop, as a matter of fact a police officer laughed with me. NOW if you talk that trash in a red state you have to be careful. You won't get arrested for it but you may end up running into a lot of Texans (since red states tend to have a lot of the idiots, with the exception of metro GA which includes the Atlanta area). Also, you do not only have the right to tell the person to mind his own business, you have the right to call the police because the person has in that instance invaded your property and that is against the law. PS: I doubt a Texan would last 10 seconds in the Bronx, Brooklyn, QB or Compton anyways.
  4. officially NO you can not be criticized about what you say unless its hurting someone e.x. go f@#k yourself, And if your neighbor comes onto your property and tells you to shut up you can tell him to get off, if he does not you have the right to call the po po and/or if you "feel" threatened or harassed you can intervene, like assault, harass, and maybe even kill if it calls for it
  5. No, freedom of speech. You can't get arrested. Someone can tell you to shut up, but if violence is used than there is possible arrest. As far as someone coming on your property and telling you to shut up you have every right to tell them to mind there own business. If they will not leave your property, depending on laws of the state you live in they could possibly get a citation/ticket for trespassing on your property.
  6. You can't be arrested for what you said. You could be arrested if your words incited someone else to violence
  7. That law only applies to Illinois.
