Grass help??!!?

I live in an apartment and I have two large dogs and a two year old who love to be outside, the grass doesnt love it though! The landlord doesnt really care about the fact that theres no grass but I do. Can anyone recommend a grass type/seed thats quick growing doesnt require a lot of care and will handle dogs, toddlers and tennessee weather and where can I buy it?

1. grass patch might work try asking your local garden center
2. It depends on where you live. Temp ,Shade to much light. rye grass grows quick but will die in high heat.
