what is the best grass seed to sow around a newly constructed pond in south georgia?

need advice on what seed to plant......

2. depends. Do you get much sunlight near the pond or do you have lots of shade around your pond?
3. heat tolerant bluegrass seed. it's hardy and adjusts well to heat. and it grows well in most soils. be sure to use a good fertilizer like scott's super turf builder. make sure you use premium grass seed. it has fewer weed seeds.
4. Stay away from cool season grasses like fescue. I'd plant bermuda, or maybe centipede. Something that's heat tolerant. And you'd get faster results if you put down sod, instead of seeding.
