- Kentucky Bluegrass. It's very durable.
- It depends on what area of the country your in but you cant go wrong with an annual rye and perennial rye 50/50 mix.
- Why doesn't the grass grow? Too much shade , or too dry, or too much traffic ? Get a wide variety of seed , as follows, a sunny mix, a little bluegrass , a shady mix, and some turf-type tall fescue( high-traffic/drought-tolerant) . Bluegrass is the dominant grass in most lawns, but takes 15-18 months to become fully established. That's why it's usually in a mix . It won't grow, or grow well , in the dryest or shadiest places . That's what the others are for. If you do that , something will grow, if it's possible .
