What is the best grass seed to feed a yard that does not grow grass though out.?

  1. Kentucky Bluegrass. It's very durable.
  2. It depends on what area of the country your in but you cant go wrong with an annual rye and perennial rye 50/50 mix.
  3. Why doesn't the grass grow? Too much shade , or too dry, or too much traffic ? Get a wide variety of seed , as follows, a sunny mix, a little bluegrass , a shady mix, and some turf-type tall fescue( high-traffic/drought-tolerant) . Bluegrass is the dominant grass in most lawns, but takes 15-18 months to become fully established. That's why it's usually in a mix . It won't grow, or grow well , in the dryest or shadiest places . That's what the others are for. If you do that , something will grow, if it's possible .
