I live in Las Vegas. And I'm having problems growing grass. What is the best seed for front and back yard's.

And what is the best way too water,apply seed's and all the other fun stuff. I have a timer for my sprinklers and just need help with what grass seed works best in this climate.

1. Try astroturf. You don't have to water it.
2. buffalo, crested wheatgrass,a nd blue grama do well in your area they have adapted to the fluctuating temperatures and they are drought in-tolerant as well. But if you want pretty green grass your best bet would be and irragation system , sprinklers which can be set on a timer. Fine fescuesand Kentucky and rough-stalk bluegrass do well with proper irragation in the northern part of Arizona. In the southern part of your state Tall fescue, bermuda, and zoysia do well with the proper irragation. You can go to any home improvement store or nursery in your are and find a landscaper in your area or the store can help you in how to do it yourself steps. good luck
3. I would first call a lawn care service and ask what kind of seed they would recommend. I would say fescue because even if it dries out, it will come back. The real trick is to make sure you prep your soil really good. Till it, then till in compost (cow, sheep are the best) the top soil. I would also recommend hydro-seeding your lawn because the seed will adapt to the soil you are growing it in, plus is will save you lots of money. I live is a dry, hot climate and I have the richest, greenest lawn on my street.
