What is the best grass seed to use.?

Having to continuely repair patches on my lawn what is the best seed for the job?

1. That would depend on your yard. There are grass seeds that do better in sun and some that do better in shade. But in general if tou have dry times Fescue is better than blue grass or rye. The fescuses and rye grass seeds germinate in about 7-10 days depending on water and temps.
2. penn dot i planted it in are yard justed throw a lot of it down. dogs still run out side, there just poms but we didn't stay off of it. its grass seeds that penn dot puts on the side of the road
3. stuff that wears well but rememeber the birds are there as well so an extra handful for them or no lawn :)
