What is the best fertilizer with crabgrass preventer?

I live in Louisville, Kentucky and am wondering what is the best brand of fertilizer and crabgrass preventer for me to use?

1. I have used many different varieties. I have decided that the scotts halts product is the best. But others worked ok.
2. Perfect timing for this answer. What you need is a pre-emergent. What that means is something that can allow you to prevent crabgrass seeds that are already in the soil from germinating. In your area this should be done in spring just about now. The best way to do exactly what you want is also an organic method as well. Go to any animal feed store or your favorite box store and ask them for Corn Gluten Meal. Getting this in a feed store is best, as it is real cheap to purchase (usually less then $1.00 per pound). Besides preventing the weeds from growing it has a great deal of Nitrogen with an NPK of 9-0-0. This will also green up your lawn nicely.
