How do i pollinate my tomatoes and melons?what pesticide to use?Neem oil?
my tomatoes have been growing fast. last month, 1 month after planted from seed, when i transplanted them, they were mostly 1-4 inches tall. now all of them are about 1 to 3 feet tall. i did not use no fertilizer nor pesticide. but how do i keep the blossoms from shriveling or dying, as that has been happening. also is neem oil organic and same, and won't cause cancer. i've been getting bugs. and my cantaloupes, which are planted from 1 month ago, are already having a lot of blooms. how do i pollinate them. one year i planted cantaloupes, i remember seeing a lot of blooms but no melons? would neem oil be the best pesticide, which is organic, doesn't cause cancer or problems and help with my bug problem. which type should i buy, how do i use it

- Neither tomatoes nor cantaloupes need to be fertilized artificially. The blossoms will naturally shrivel and die when they've fulfilled their function and the fruit begins to grow. The first blossoms of melons are male, and will produce no fruit, but fruit grows from later flowers. Neem oil is safe to use, but your insecticides should be tailored to your insects. For both tomatoes and cantaloupe, I prefer to hand pick, as the insects are large enough. Tomatoes are seldom bothered to any extent by insects other than tomato hornworms, for which you can use Bt, also organic, or again, handpick. If you're diligent from the beginning, you'll probably find you have so few bugs that you don't need to use insecticides. Hope this helps...
