What type of grass grows the best on Long Island?

I was wondering what type of grass grows the best on long island in a partially shady mostly sunny area and any other tips for lawn care(ie. when to use lime, use of peatmoss ect.) that people might have or possibly some good regional websites on the topic. The front yard will be mostly sunny not high traffic and the back yard is also a mix but is high traffic. Any help will be appreciated

1. In the sandy soils of Long Island, fescue blend of grass seed is suggested, as fescue is fairly drought resistant, and resists browning out.
