grass seeds?

so i planted grass seeds into a pot and watched it grow. now i wish to plant the soil pot grass into my yard how can i do this what are some steps into making this a success

1. This is not the best way to grow grass. It is far better to plant the seed directly where you want it to grow in the yard. Grass seedlings are so small and delicate that they are hard to transplant.
2. When sod is made a knife cuts it under the soil but you could just dump it out and plant it like any plant. Dig a hole the size you need and throw it in. To make sure it does well as with any plant put water on it.
