how do i find out if it's to soon to plant grass seed?

thanks for your help. as for where, your right that would be helpful to know. Albany ny and i think were done w/ snow

1. It needs to be 75 Or above when planting a summer grass.
2. An early spring seeding, during the month of April (or March if the snow has melted in your area). If you plant early enough, you'll give your young grass enough time to establish it's roots before the heat of summer arrives.
