would anyone recomend any types of grass seed?

i am looking for a type of grass seed that will take in hard ground. i tried Scott's and raked the ground as best as i could but it just comes up in little spots. if anyone has any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.

1. There are too many factors to consider to find you the best seed. try and find a local CO-OP in the yellowpages and give them a call. they'll tell you EXACTLY what to use and how to use it.
2. Kinda hard to recommend not knowing where you live. Try calling your county extension service, they are there to help you.
