how do i get clay cat litter off the ground?

my husband accidentally dropped a case of clay cat litter on the ground outside it has not gone away or dissolved or anything its just sitting there now and i cant rake it up or spray it away or anything like that and I wanted to make our yard look better but cant ye until i get that clay out so i cant plant more grass seed what can i do

1. Use a shovel. You might have to chop it up with a hoe before hand.
2. I would use a rake to loosen the litter bits from the ground and whatever else the litter may be stuck to. I would then VACUUM it up using a "shop" type vacuum cleaner [Shopvac and Shopmate are just two of the "brand" names]. You can use a bag type vacuum cleaner, but that is a waste of an expensive bag.
3. grab a garbage bag and use a shovel. Then hose it down.
4. shovel it out, and don't worry about removing dirt from your yard, just get a bag of dirt to cover the rest and plant some grass seed
