Is a fertilized lawn safe for children and pets to play in?
If any, what are the dangers? Can you reassure that it is safe? What are the odds (ratio: i.e. 1/5,000) of an allergic taking place from the chemicals?

- My Dachshund had terrible problems with his skin. Made notes as to when it flared up and found out it was when the lawn had been fertilized. No one wanted to acknowledge such a problem. I even got in touch with the Zoo. They had never thought of it either. Much later I got a call from them and they had made the same discovery. The Chem-Man was not happy with me of course. My dogs are fine now.
- Children who live in homes that use fertilizers and pesticides in their lawn and garden have leukemia rates of 6.5 times that of children in untreated environments. Dogs who romp on traditionally treated yards also have higher rates of lymphoma than dogs in untreated environments.
